Transient Urinary Incontinence Overview

There are more than a half dozen varying types of incontinence—a condition where one will leak urine or be unable to control when they urinate. One particular term, transient urinary incontinence, is when urine leakage occurs due to a medical situation that will eventually seize to exist. For example, this urine control issue may occur if a person has a minor, temporary infection, is taking prescribed drugs for a specific duration or because of symptoms relating to a cold (such as sneezing or coughing). Transient urinary incontinence is treatable, but will eventually go away on its own once the conditions leading to the incontinence have passed.
