An Overview of Prostatron Treatment
A man’s prostate plays a significant role in the male reproductive anatomy and when it becomes infected, it ultimately becomes enlarged (known as benign prostatic hyperplasia—BPH). In most cases, this causes the bladder to become distressed which will which lead to urination becoming erratic and troublesome. Medication is available to treat an enlarged prostate although it is not always effective. For men who prefer a non-surgical treatment of BPH, prostatron (Transurethral Microwave Thermotherapy) offers a safe, non-surgical, effective treatment option. Prostatron treatment is the application of putting controlled, localized very high heat in contact with the cells of the prostate effectively destroying them and improves symptoms in more than 70% of the men who choose the procedure. Prostatron is performed as an out-patient procedure and typically takes up to one hour.
